The surroundings

The hamlet of St. Bonnet la Rivière has about 330 inhabitants and has no commerce except for an “auberge”.

The round church of St Bonnet is special. It is a replica of a basilica in Jeruzalem. At a distance of five kilometres you’ll find the lively little town of Objat with its Sunday morning market in a pedestrian zone.

A ‘departement’ of hills, green meadows and ponds, the Correze has a lot to offer with its unspoiled nature, its lovely, picturesque villages and towns, its many rivers, big and small (e.g.the Vezere, the Correze and the Dordogne), its apple-orchards, walnut trees and beautiful views. It’s the home of the famous Limousin cow.
